We came across a chilling report that only confirms what we have long suspected. The enrolment of Muslim children in India at the primary school level (Class I-V) is 9.39 per cent and just 7.52 per cent at the upper primary level (Class VI-VIII)
But what can YOU can do about it? You are busy and have professional and family commitments. Very well. But if You are not going to do something about it my friend, then who would?
Who doesn't have professional and family commitments? Remember, if Muslims continue this apathy for another five, then we might lose millions of children to illiteracy.
Can the community afford that? NO. So, do your bit for the community. Identify a Muslim child and sponsor his/her fees now.
If you can't find a deserving Muslim child yourself, get your friends/family members to find one for you. With so many Muslim children not going to school, this should not be difficult. Alternatively, get in touch with us -- we have a huge data bank of deserving Muslim students who can't afford to pay their fees.
Incidentally, the fees of these kids isn't much; just a couple of hundred rupees in most cases, sometimes, even less.
