2004

A bright class XI student from prestigious English school in Lucknow faced a bleak future when his parents divorced. The boy and his mother were left to fend for themselves. The result: Mounting debts and unpaid school fees. The boy’s name was about to be struck off the school rolls when Aaghaz stepped in and cleared all his dues. Now the boy is gainfully employed.

2005

An orphan cleared an engineering exam and got admission in Integral University. But he had no money to pay Rs 50,000 in annual fees as his mother who did chikankari (embroidery work) met an accident. Aaghaz paid the boy’s fee for two years. The third year he managed to raise the money on his own. Now he’s working for the Metro Project in Saudi Arabia and also sponsoring the fees of other children supported by Aaghaz.

2006

Her father had dumped her as she was born a girl child. Her maternal grandparents decided to bring her up. But they barely earned enough to afford her school fee. The girl’s name was about to be struck off when Aaghaz stepped forward. It has been paying her fees since. The girl has stood first every year and topped the B.Ed exam. Now’s she’s working as a teacher

2007

Son of auto-rickshaw driver becomes engineer:His father drove an auto rickshaw so that his son could continue to go to school. The boy didn’t disappoint. He got selected in an engineering college in the first attempt. But he was on the verge of dropping out because of unpaid fee amounting to several thousand rupees. Aaghaz paid all his outstanding fee. The boy is now a qualified engineer.

2008

Aaghaz helped a street beggar’s son become a graduate. Now he’s working for a major pharma company in Delhi .

2009

Tempo driver’s son tops class; tea vendor’s son becomess mechanical engineer,Aaghaz-sponsored tempo driver’s son secures over 90 per cent marks in ICSE and while a tea vendor’s son gets admission in engineering after Aaghaz pays his entire year’s college fees. He’s now working for a multinational.

2010

Orphaned by murderers, saved by Aaghaz : A Muslim teenager from Patna was left orphaned after his father (ex principal at Imarat Technical Institute Purnea) was killed during an armed robbery. Days later, his mother was also killed. The child was on the verge of dropping out of school when Aaghaz intervened.

2011

Frustrated by crippling financial conditions, a young Phd student in Lucknow set herself on fire, suffering serious burns. The 25-year-old took this drastic step because her family was debt-ridden and there was no money to fund the treatment of her ailing father. Aaghaz helped her by raising money for her treatment and getting her a job. Aaghaz also paid the entire year’s fee of her younger brother, a B. Com (First year) college drop out. Additionally, Aaghaz got him enrolled at our Lucknow Guidance & Counselling Centre so that he could prepare for Banking/LIC/Railways examination.

2012

Aligarh Muslim University clerk needed Rs 100,000 in hostel fee/college fees engineering college. Aaghaz bailed him out. Now he’s working for a Japanese firm.

2013

Aaghaz launches Lucknow Guidance and Coaching Centre and meet immediate success. In the first year itself, seven students get selected for IBPS (Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection) exam.

2014

Vegetable vendor’s son gets entire year’s fee as do 10 orphan girls in Muslim run school.

2015

Adopted four children in Muzaffarnagar, left orphaned after their father died in a truck accident. We have been paying the entire fees of the children since then. The kids have performed exceptionally well. Also forked out Rs 43,000 to pay fees of construction worker’s son pursuing BTech, Rs 60,000 to an auto driver’s son pursuing higher studies, Rs 22,000 to AC mechanic’s son pursuing engineering.

2015

2016

Disabled Hyderabad student Shaik Ayatollah who has no legs or limbs get Rs 50,000 to pursue B.com. Another Rs 50,000 was given the following year.

Also raised Rs 6 lakhs for Jamia Hamdard Final Year student Sana Wakil in less than three days. Apart from this we also launched the Rs 50,000 Rohith Vemula Memorial Scholarship in memory of the deceased Hyderabad Central University Student.

The inaugural Rohith was given to Dalit student Chandan Kumar Ram pursuing Law. Chandan’s father works as a labourer. The second and third Rohith Vemula Scholarship was awarded to Gorakhpur girl Umme Aiman who has topped her IBS exam for two consecutive years.

2017

Pitched in with nearly Rs 3 lakhs in college fee of two Mysore orphan sisters Rukhsana Khanam and Farzana Khanam pursuing computer science and B.Ed. Today both are gainfully employed.

2018

Aaghaz sponsored student Sana Mirza lands job while daughters of revert to Islam gets entire’s years fees at Loreto Convent. Both win laurels for school.

2019

Tied up with Rahmani30 as part of a landmark initiative to prepare Muslim students for competitive exams like IIT and NEET. This year 92 per cent students of Rahmani30 cleared the JEE Mains Exams.

2020

Aaghaz adopts 70 children in Shiv Vihar affected by the violence in Delhi in 2020.
